New to us in the UK but a few months old in the US is Generation Kill a series set in the Iraq war of 2003 that follows an embedded reporter from Rolling Stone with the United States Marine Corps' 1st Reconnaissance Battalion. It has a Band of Brothers flavour to it and is the mutts nuts. Thanks to Superbad Mc Nab for the heads up on this one. One recurrent storyline is the "Tache" growing competion that results in some genius scenes :My fave character is the speed pill guzzling driver Cpl Josh ray Person who talks 24/7 bullshit as he's driving and ends up in an amphetamine frenzy :D
